Praise be to Allah and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family and companions and those who follow him. Allah has revealed the Holy Quran to His Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him as guidance and mercy to all mankind. Prophet Muhammad emphasized that the virtues of learning the Quran are countless, he stated: “Allah Almighty has AHLEEN (families) أهلين from mankind. They asked: “O Messenger of Allah, who are they?” He said: They are the People of the Quran; the Family/People of GOD أهل الله , and they are His Special Ones خاصته.” (Sahih Jamee 2165) Also, Abu Amamah al-Baahili narrated: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “Recite the Qur’an, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection”. (Sahih Muslim)

The reciter of Quran will rise in his ranks in Jannah by how much he/she memorizes. It was narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar that the prophet (PBUH) said: “It will be said to the companion of the Quran: Read and elevate (through the levels of the Paradise) and beautify your voice as you used to do when you were on earth (dunyaa)! For verily, your position in the Paradise will be at the last verse you recite!” (Sahih Jamee 8122)

Furthermore, it is confirmed that the descent of angels, tranquility and mercy is tied to the Quran and its people (reciters). Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Any group of people that assemble in one of the Houses of Allah to recite the Book of Allah, learning and teaching it, tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will engulf them, angels will surround them and Allah will make mention of them to those (the angels) in His proximity.” (Sahih Muslim)

Finally, reading the Quran comes with rewards that are multiplied. Narrated Muhammad bin Ka’b Al-Qurazi: “I heard ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud saying: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “[Whoever recites a letter] from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.” (Sahih Jamee 6469)

فضل تعلم القرآن الكريم

الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله وعلى آله وصحبه ومن والاه ثم أما بعد فإن الله تعالى قد أنزل القرآن الكريم على نبيه محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم بيانا وهدى ورحمة وحث الناس على تعلمه لما به من فضائل لا تعد ولا تحصى منها ما ذكره سيدنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في قوله )  إن لله أهلين من الناس . قالوا : يا رسول الله من هم قال : أهل القران هم أهل الله وخاصته). (صحيح الجامع2165)

ومنها أيضا حديث أبي أمامة الباهلي قال سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: (اقرؤوا القرآن فإنه يأتي يوم القيامة شفيعاً لأصحابه). (صحيح مسلم)

صاحب القرآن يرتقى في درجات الجنة بقدر ما معه من القرآن

عن عبد الله بن عمرو قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: (يقال لصاحب القران اقرأ وارتق ورتل كما كنت ترتل في الدنيا فإن منزلتك عند آخر آية تقرؤها). (صحيح الجامع8122)

نزول الملائكة والسكينة والرحمة للقرآن وأهله

حديث أبى هريرة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال (ما اجتمع قوم في بيت من بيوت الله يتلون كتاب الله ويتدارسونه فيما بينهم إلا نزلت عليهم السكينة وغشيتهم الرحمة وحفتهم الملائكة وذكرهم الله فيمن عنده). (صحيح مسلم)

مضاعفة ثواب قراءة الحرف الواحد من القرآن أضعافاً كثيرة

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (من قرأ حرفاً من كتاب الله فله به حسنة ، والحسنة بعشر أمثالها لا أقول (الم) حرف ولكن : ألف حرف ولام حرف ، وميم حرف). (صحيح الجامع 6469)
